Philly Loft

This client relocated to a new loft space in Philly with an open concept layout, dramatic windows and tall ceilings. He wanted to create a mature space that better reflected his professional and personal growth. Within the common room we needed include spaces for his office, dining, living room and pantry. Some items that needed to remain in the design included his desk/gaming chair, dining table/chairs and a collection of art. After discussing his style preferences, budgets and functional needs, I began the rendering prosses prior to visiting the space and was able to establish a guide for the loft layout. With cleaver use of furniture placement, floor coverings and paint, we were able to define clear and individual spaces.

When first entering the space, I wanted him and his guests to feel a clean flow into his living and dining spaces. By placing the dining room to the right and relocating his office space further back by the windows (for more natural light as he works remotely), we were able to create comfortable movement throughout the room. The dining and office space was divided with bookcase to offer more visual privacy to each space. The sofa was placed facing the left wall to remove visual distraction of the office space when he is off the clock.

Unfortunately, finding comparable 3D rendered objects in reality can be challenging, especially when working with real world budgets. We have been working together to find the right pieces for right prices and he utilizes my consultative services for guidance. This client has been an active participant in scouring for furnishings.

Stay tuned for the after photos!
